Just a sketch I whipped up while hanging out at CCS, tonight. I came home and threw a bit of color on it when I got home.
What a fun face to paint. From recollection, I’d deem it the most asymmetrical face in Hollywood. Either his or Owen Wilson’s.
***EDIT: I couldn’t help but tweak this a bit more before I went to bed. I fixed some slight value issues, and made his facial hair a bit more pronounced. I also made the bags under his eyes more symmetrical. I also felt red was a more appropriate color for Hitch.***
Finally got around to painting Christopher Hitchens. I had to get it done before his esophageal cancer gets the better of him. Maybe I can find a way to send it to him.

So, I went to the zoo, today. Then I stopped by my brother’s house for a bit. Here’s a pic of his daughters.
This took FOREVER. But it came out almost exactly as I pictured it in my head. Whattaya think?
Painting took about 4 hours. I spent another 45 minutes adding textures and messing around with color.
