Dialogue Test #1

Here’s my first pass through a dialogue test. There are a couple things I want to fix (such as the left leg during the turn), but that won’t be until Tuesday. I figured I’d post this now just so you guys can see what I’ve been working on. Click the link below to watch it!

Hope you like it!

More figure studies. Each of these took about 20 minutes.

Dr. Püflinger and Jack Crenshaw

Done! Sorry they’re so massive… I’m pretty sure Dave wants them that way.

Silhouettes

I’m only half way done with this step, as I have to do silhouettes for a human counterpart… but I felt like I should post these, tonight. He’s a monkey scientist… with beakers and books and clipboards and hoverboards.

And here is his human counterpart.

Our assignment is to design two characters. One, based of a Chinese zodiac character (I got the monkey), and another which is a human based off of the negative characteristics for that zodiac character. That explains the text in the research image below. Oh, also… we had to start the designs with a silhouette, rather than a sketch. It’s supposed to help us come up with more ideas, faster, than our normal way of working.

I hung out in Pat’s Figure Illustration class, again. I think a few of these came out really well.

The Box

This was a really quick animation that I did for Animation 2. We were told to make a 2-second animation which consisted of a slow action and a fast action. Click the link below to check it out!

C&E 1st Project Finals

There they are. I hate the third one, but oh well. I can’t think of another way I’d rather render it.

Harry

I sat in on Pat’s Figure 1 class, for about an hour, today. It was a good time.

Bull Rider (Research and ideation)

The point of this assignment is to come up with a character with a given occupation, but portray them in three styles other than one’s own. So, I chose the ’30s cartoon, Dexter’s Lab, and I guess editorial styles. Honestly, the third style is just off-the-cuff, because I’m running short on time. Hopefully I can polish it a bit more for the finish.

Animations!

I just posted a new animation on my main site… but you can check it out below.
